Location and app features

A weather forecast for a town and repeated uploads of your phone's precise position share different information. Location can be useful for forecasts, routes and traffic warnings, and can also be used for measurement or marketing.

The choice can affect features:

• Buienradar keeps Swrve and background location uploads with the standard tracking patch. The separate Disable Swrve and location upload patch stops those exchanges and disables weather alerts.
• Flitsmeister reduces optional trip measurement. Location exchange for live traffic warnings, maps and routing remains available.

Review the app's location permission and the tradeoffs on its app page. Disable tracking does not mean location data always stays on the phone. Retained online services also receive ordinary connection information, such as the IP address.
