Other measurement services¶
These names describe different forms of measurement. Coverage is app-specific; use the app page to check the selected patches.
Audience measurement¶
Comscore and Gemius measure audience reach and activity. Named destinations include scorecardresearch.com and gabe.hit.gemius.pl. The exact service coverage differs between news apps.
Reading and viewing analytics¶
Chartbeat, Parse.ly and Smartocto measure how content is used. Named destinations include ping.chartbeat.net, pong.chartbeat.net, p1.parsely.com, ingestion.smartocto.com and ingestion.contentinsights.com. Measurement and content recommendations can be separate functions.
Playback measurements¶
Blue Billywig, JWPlayer and publisher media services can measure playback in addition to delivering media. Named destinations include stats.bluebillywig.com, psti.prd.dpge.be and tracker.prd.dpge.be/track. Audio and video coverage can differ. A player may still exchange queue, device and playback-position information to keep a feature working.
Publisher measurement¶
Publishers can run analytics under their own domains. FTM names Matomo at insight.ftm.nl and Eventor at eventor.ftm.nl. Omroep Brabant also has its own reading measurement. A publisher-owned address can serve measurement alongside useful app services.
Publisher identity¶
DMOI connects publisher identifiers with optional advertising, device or external-account identifiers. The named identity service is dmoi.api.dpgmedia.net. Reducing optional identity links does not remove the accounts needed for signing in.
Piano Analytics¶
Piano Analytics measures page views, interactions and media use. Records can include content, session or visitor information. The app page describes the optional measurement affected and the features retained.
Experiments and advertising surveys¶
BrandMetrics measures advertising effectiveness and surveys; VWO supports experiments with different presentations. Named destinations include phx.bmtrcs.com and dev.visualwebsiteoptimizer.com. A blocked service does not mean a particular survey or experiment ran for every user.
